Several of famillies find themselves out of their homes in the towns of Douala and Yaounde after many years of living.
Hundreds of cameroonians on june 26 2021 at the Newtown aéroport district in Douala found themselves homeless only 48 hours after a formal notice. The same case occured in the Messamendongo neighbourhood in Yaoundé. Residents of Messamendongo denounces demolitions with a keen eye and little arrangements as some influencial authorities are not concern by this situation. The fact is still more dramatic in Douala because nearly 12 young people are detained at the central prison of Newbell for trying to protect their parents and their goods.
